a high of 30//ice storm and balance

We are gearing up for spring at an accelerated pace.  I got onions, shallots, peppers, and some herbs started. It will be a few days before I see any germination, but it felt good to stay relatively on schedule.

I’m feeling a little pressure about getting the raised beds built for the blackberries and grapes. The main thing is that I have to have soil delivered, which I need to time for when the ground isn’t to wet to avoid ruts in the yard. We had thunderstorms last night that turned to an ice storm, so I am not sure if I will get it all done in time. I’m kicking myself for not getting it done sooner, even though if I got it done sooner I would probably be kicking myself for getting it done too soon.

Things have been quiet lately as I try to find balance. I have set some creative goals that I am very excited about, planned a trip in conjunction with these goals, and started dreaming of future trips. All of this is being planned to avoid leaving during the main growing season, as I very much want to have a successful garden this year.
