Orchard

The orchard is managed using holistic practices. In order to maintain tree health, we do spray liquid fish, neem oil, essential microbes, and kelp. The mulch we use around the the trees is chipped on farm, from trees we cut clearing the areas around fences and buildings. The hay we use in the orchard is cut from our own fields. We utilize companion planting, such as comfrey, chives, garlic, tansy, daffodils, etc. to minimize pest pressure. Additionally, we allow the chickens to roam the orchard during the day to eat bugs.
